A financially responsible friend, former procrastinators, discovered after her husband passed away that she could not use their credit card. What had she not known? What do I not know about the terms of our accounts? How about you?
Credit cards call for diligent stewardship. To avoid being caught in an awkward and unintended spot like this, we need to research our own situations. We can call the companies, read the fine print, etc. Talking with the folks where our accounts are is better than reading about such situations in general. We need to do that. We’ve also decided I need a separate account.
