There are skilled people, former procrastinators, whom the Lord has called and equipped to guide Christians in the area of financial responsibility. Because these folks have a biblical perspective of managing God’s resources, they help us understand the principles involved and how to apply them in our personal situations.
A good friend, gifted in this area, has a PhD in economics from MIT and a heart for the Lord and generous giving He suggests numerous resources we can use. If you already have a clear understanding and a solid system in place at your house, perhaps these will help with updates or new prompts. If you’re starting from scratch, these provide an excellent foundation for the big picture and the details.
You’ll find the basics and more addressed in these resources – budgeting, saving, paying off debt, mortgage info, retirement planning, etc. And giving. Our friend reminds us that when we manage God’s money wisely, we have opportunity to bless Him and others as we share generously. Wise money management frees us for the joy of giving.
