A new year means a new theme, former procrastinators! I hope this approach encourages you too. Having a theme reminds me to focus and take action. “Because you have been my help, therefore in the shadow of your wings I will rejoice. My soul follows close behind you; your right hand upholds me.” Psalm 63:7-8…
God likes celebrations! Just consider, former procrastinators, the feasts He directed. It pleases Him when we honor Him with joy and festivities. We’re about to enter a season of celebration – Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s. Instead of dreading the time as a marathon of requirements, we can look forward to it as opportunity to express…
You know, former procrastinators, the more we put things off, the bigger the burden becomes. Cleaning the closet swells from being a one afternoon task to being a monster chore requiring herculean efforts to accomplish. We put if off; it grows. We dread it; it taunts us. No, it doesn’t grow. It’s only in our…
Relax, former procrastinators! We walk out our daily lives on the foundation of His love and eternal life in Christ. If we tie ourselves up in knots, we choke our new creation. The history of the word “relax” gives great word pictures that can help us get the idea of what it means to not…

Entertainment for me is anything that appeals and diverts me into a relaxed state that helps me ignore what I ought to do. It might be a chore I prefer, tv, book, magazine, or google search. Does FB or Pinterest do…

Another jogger was our pastor who offered me some pointers. He explained that I was swinging my arms from side…
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.
Proverbs 6:6-8
. . . you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him.
Colossians 3:9-10
