Give Thanks – See. Perceive. Act.

23Nov

Come, ye thankful former procrastinators!  Let’s gather to praise God for His steadfast goodness to us no matter what takes place in this earthly life.  He is our Rock and Fortress and Deliverer.

This year I’m especially grateful for

  • You!  I wish I could explain how having you ladies in my life encourages me to keep growing in the area of diligence.  I feel accountable to you.  Your comments help all of us.  Knowing you’re reading as I write about what I’m learning is a tremendous boost.  Thank you to every one of you.  I and my family appreciate the changes in my life.  I’m eager to recognize more and benefit more.  Put off procrastination, put on peace is increasingly a reality here.  Whatever trials come, at least procrastination is less a part of the problem and diligence a real benefit in the midst of it.  Diligence even helps avoid problems.  I hope you’re experiencing these things too.
  • My husband and Carol, and all who help keep this blog going
  • A house that meets our needs.  We weren’t looking for one this size, but the Lord knew and now it’s full!
  • The magnificent job my husband is doing cleaning out the garage.  Papers are a pain.  One by one, he’s freeing our space and our minds of clutter.  The trash bins are difficult to move. The office store luvs us for over 200 pounds we’ve taken there to shred.
  • A church and pastor that love with wise shepherding hearts to help us live out the practicalities of faith.
  • Every moment I can spend on the phone or in person with extended family
  • Medical folks who seek to cooperate with how God made our bodies
  • Grandchildren who luv to sing, learn, have silly fun, and who love each other and us
  • For the opportunity to enjoy grandchildren and have input into their lives, the next generation
  • Children who think clearly, love the Lord, and care about a spiritually healthy family.
  • People of all ages who speak up for truth and righteousness in our nation.
  • The mercy of God personally, in our family, town, country, and world.
  • Brave believers around the world who stand for Christ.
  • Good books.  As a dear friend said, “Books are like having a mentor.”
  • The best book, the Word of God.  It provides light, guidance, comfort, hope.
  • The green I see when I look out back.  It’s like an “eyeful” of refreshment
  • See.  Perceive.  Act.  It’s working on me.
  • The coming year’s theme. I believe the Lord is prompting a good one…
